Boone County Drug Prevention Coalition
The Boone County Drug Prevention Coalition (BCDPC) was established in 2013 as a product of a grant received by Rosecrance Health Network, a local substance use and mental health treatment center. In 2018 the coalition was awarded the Drug Free Communities Grant and in 2023 secured a five-year continuation grant. Youth Services Network, a 510(c)3 in Rockford, is the fiscal agent for the BCDPC.
Our mission is to use a community approach to reduce and prevent the use of alcohol, tobacco, nicotine products, cannabis, opioids and other drugs through evidence-based programming focused on youth ages 11- 18 and their families.
Our vision is to create a safe and healthy environment where youth feel empowered to make positive decisions concerning alcohol, tobacco, and other drug use.
